My great aunts and my mom made things. One of the aunties made this years ago. I believe it is sewn with a machine because it is put together too well and tight. Mom said there was a satin factory in their town, and they would collect the scraps to make this bedding. This is beautiful solid blue and solid red with accents of black. The back has what looks like a new piece of cotton fabric on the back. That’s why I said it was new. I don’t think it was ever used but could have. I do not know what it is filled with. Mom always kept it in a bin tucked away for «good use» which never happened. The pictures show it over my king bed. It just covers to the sides and bottom with room for pillows. It doesn’t go down on the sides. I have another quilt they (whichever one made them) made in peach and pink. It is very pretty too. I wonder how much of what I was told is truth, but I only am sharing what I have heard. These are nice quilts without the history. They were always «saved for good». Mom did a lot of that with everything. Hopefully this will look great at your house. No rips or tears noted, but please check out the pictures. Some of the blues are different colors. Mom said it was from different lots of fabric cut. I just want you to be aware, they have always been like that. The reds may have some, but they are not as noticeable.
