Item description: Josef Lamy founded the company » Orthos Füllhalterfabrik C.J. Lamy» in Heidelberg at the beginning of the 1930. Just after the second world war he bought the company Artus Füllhaltergesellschaft Kaufmann and Co. based in Heidelberg. Up for sale is LAMY 27 30 fountain pen. The LAMY 27 appeared in 1952. This was the first streamlined pen with a hooded nib, that was produced in Germany. There is a special nib: 14ct gold MK flex very smooth and enjoyable nib. The MK is «MEDIUM KUGEL»: means with a «ball» at end – which enables much more writing angles. The pen has got a piston system and a rolled gold clip. Clear and clean ink window. The pen is well preserved, but has a crack on the barrel, so sold as for parts. Such fixed pen can fit as a valuable addition and would grace any collection, and is a quality pen that will perfectly function, as a daily writer.
