Up for bid is an original antique pre- Cast Iron Hubley Scottie and Terrier Dog Friend Bookend or Door Stop. Found at a family estate sale. This is a single (one) bookend or doorstop made by Hubley in the 1920s. It is made of cast iron with a bronze finish. Features the head and chest of a Scotty and an Airedale Terrier standing side by side with the fine detail typical of Hubley’s workmanship. It measures about 5 3/4″ tall by 5 1/2″ wide and 2 1/2″ deep. In great vintage condition with general wear for age and storage. No damage noted. Has most of the felt on the bottom with some parts loose. Nice patina. Used as a display and may need to have surface dirt cleaned. Will defer to the discretion of the buyer.
