ANTIQUE BREGUET VERGE FUSEE BULLS EYE POCKET WATCH A PARIS ANTIQUE BREGUET VERGE FUSEE BULLS EYE POCKET WATCH A PARIS. This listing is for a nice early 1800’s silver cased pocket watch with bulls eye crystal that was found in a safety deposit box in storage for 40 years. It is key wind and comes with two keys. It weighs approx.106.5 grams. It meas. approx 52.5 mm in diameter and approx. 24 mm deep. Please do your research on these old watches. Several makers have similar names. This may be a name copy of a famous maker. The watch has glass crystal with a bulls eye in the center, with some scuffs and light surface scratches from normal use. ( no cracks) It has a white porcelain dial (cracks and old porcelain repairs) with an outer ring of Arabic numbers for the hours and a border of line marks for the individual minutes. It is also marked near the top «Breguet» and near the bottom » A Paris». The white enamel dial has only one hand, the hour hand. The dial has a winding hole and the time is adjusted by a key as well. Two keys are included( one for winding, other for changing time). The case is plain, silver bezel and side case but looks like the back cover is silver plated. The back cover looks like it is soldered in place and has several numbers («55. 14067, and L11366»). Back cover design matches front bezel design. The movement has a hinge ( pin missing ) that allows the watch to hinge out. I removed the porcelain dial and there may be a gear missing that coordinates the time-see photos).Top of that plate is stamped 14067. The movement does run, but very slow. The back of the watch has a viewing cover that shows the balance wheel. It also hinges out. The back plate is also marked «Breguet, A Paris». This is a fusee drive verge pocket watch. This watch will carry full insurance which is built into the handling charge. When packed securely for shipping, it weighs one pound 2 ounces. Please see other watches found with this one.
